Telegram Ads can send traffic to a channel, bot, website, Mini App or private messages. A channel builds an audience you can keep reaching. A bot guides people through a flow, a website supports enquiries or purchases, a Mini App lets them use a service, and private messages start a direct conversation. There is no universal winner. Choose the destination that matches your goal and your ad account.
01
Channel: build an audience you can keep engaging
A channel is Telegram’s most natural destination. Pros: you build a subscriber base and can keep reaching it through new posts. It suits media, experts and products that take more than one interaction to sell.

Cons: a click does not automatically become a subscription. The channel needs useful posts that deliver on the ad’s promise and give people a reason to stay.
You can also send traffic to a specific channel post. The visitor sees the content promised in the ad immediately and can then subscribe. We use this when one post explains the offer better than the channel’s general feed.
Our Dubai real estate case used a channel with property content to generate enquiries. The published result was 200 enquiries, a €10–15 cost per lead and 45% more leads than in the earlier arrangement. In our Dubai campaign, the channel did two jobs: it showcased properties and kept interested buyers engaged while we generated enquiries. That gave the client both new contacts and an audience for future offers.
Measure subscriptions, subscriber cost and enquiries from the channel. For a specific event with a short registration window, you can also test a direct sign-up page and see which approach brings the registrations you need.
02
Bot: automate the path from click to enquiry
A bot follows a flow you have set up: it can ask questions, segment visitors, deliver a guide, collect a request or move to payment when implemented. Pros: it automates routine steps and gives your team useful context. Cons: a long or confusing flow can lose people before they enquire.

Show the promised outcome on the first screen. A visitor who clicked for a course outline should know how to get it. Avoid a long questionnaire before delivering a simple download. Ask only questions that change the recommendation or help the team handle the request.
Test the flow on a phone before buying traffic. Start it as a new user, complete the task and check where the answers arrive. If the manager has to ask every question again, the bot has moved the form into chat without reducing work.
Measure: bot opens, starts, completed flows and qualified requests separately. Opening a bot does not mean the visitor has started it. Our guide to Telegram Ads for bots covers flow design and tracking in more detail. Here, the choice is simpler: use a bot when its sequence helps the visitor complete the task.
03
Website: turn interest into enquiries or sales
A website or landing page lets people explore the offer and then register, enquire or buy. Pros: you can use forms, analytics, payments and CRM integrations. Cons: the page must work well on mobile and make the next action obvious.
First check account support. External website links are available in the Euro/WORLD accounts we use. They are not a destination in the TON/Stars accounts in our current practice. Do not prepare a web campaign around a feature that is absent from the account you will launch.

For a webinar, use a page with the topic, date and registration form. The visitor should see exactly what the ad promised. Before launch, open that page on a phone and submit a test registration to confirm the full path works.
Measure: page visits, completed forms, qualified leads and purchases as different events. If clicks arrive but enquiries do not, check page loading, the offer, the form and delivery into your CRM before changing targeting. Our website destination guide explains page preparation and tracking without turning this comparison into a website tutorial.

Mini App: let people use the product inside Telegram
A Mini App is a web application inside Telegram: a catalogue, cart, booking flow or account area. Pros: people can explore and take action without leaving Telegram when the needed features are built. Cons: development and maintenance take work. A simple form may not need a full app.

A bot is useful for a sequence of questions and answers. A Mini App gives more room to display choices together. For example, a visitor could change service options and see a revised quote on the same screen. If the task is only to read a paragraph and submit a form, a full application may add work without helping the visitor.
We use a Mini App when the product is easier to understand by doing: comparing options, configuring a service or placing an order in one interface. Test whether a new visitor understands the first screen and can finish the promised action.
Measure: openings, useful interactions, submitted requests and sales separately. The application also needs maintenance while ads run. Changes to pricing, availability or backend services can break the promised task.
05
Private messages: start a useful conversation
Private messages suit consulting, tailored services and complex B2B offers. Pros: a manager can discuss the need and give a personal answer. Cons: results depend on how quickly and clearly the team replies. Tell visitors what they can ask about: “Ask about implementation” is clearer than “Contact us”.

Opening a profile or conversation does not send a message. The visitor must decide to write. Make the account’s public information clear, and decide who will answer new enquiries and when. An ad that invites a conversation creates an operational promise your team must keep.
Measure: new conversations with an actual user message, qualified enquiries, appointments and sales. Do not count every reply from an existing customer as a new lead. If enquiries arrive faster than the team can answer, more budget may create a queue rather than more sales.

06
Choose by the next useful action
Ask what you want a visitor to do first. Choose a channel for an audience you can keep serving with content, a bot for a short guided flow, a website for an immediate booking or purchase, a Mini App for an interactive task, or private messages for an individual conversation. Then check which of these experiences your business can support today.
| Destination | Best starting objective | Business result to check | Minimum readiness | Main operational burden |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Channel | Build a subscriber audience around useful content | Attributed subscribers, then qualified actions | Clear identity, relevant posts and a visible next step | Continued publishing and enquiry handling |
| Bot | Complete a structured registration or request | Completed registrations or qualified requests | Working first message, tested flow and delivery of the promised result | Logic, integrations and human handoff |
| Website or landing page | Register, book, request or buy through an existing page | Qualified leads, paid orders or completed bookings | Supported account, working mobile page and confirmed forms or checkout | Page, analytics and commercial systems |
| Mini App | Use an interactive tool or service | Completed useful actions and downstream results | Supported launch method and a working application task | Product development and application support |
| Private messages | Explain a need to a person | Actual qualified enquiries and agreed next steps | Supported destination, informative profile and response capacity | Staffing, qualification and conversation tracking |

Check the result before scaling
- Confirm that the intended destination works in your advertising account.
- Follow the ad yourself and complete the promised task on a phone.
- Verify that the result appears in analytics, the CRM or the manager’s inbox.
If clicks do not become useful actions, find the first failed step. Check channel content, the bot’s first message, the website form, the Mini App’s core function or the team’s response time. Do not call an ordinary before-and-after change a controlled test. Compare destinations on a common business outcome and a comparable observation period.
The English-language crypto course case shows why stages matter. The campaign used a channel and a pinned free-course offer. It reported 5,600+ subscribers at an average €0.50 and registrations below €5. The publication does not state a reporting period or countries. Those figures describe one project and do not forecast the result of your campaign.

FAQ
Can one business use several destinations at the same time?
Yes, if each campaign has a clear objective and separate measurement. A business could grow a channel audience while advertising an event registration page. Identify each campaign’s conversion and avoid adding subscribers, registrations and enquiries into one total called leads. Shared sales outcomes may require deduplication in your reporting.
What should I do if the preferred destination is unavailable in my account?
Check the account’s actual settings and the intended link first. If the feature is unavailable, discuss a supported account type or choose a destination that still serves the objective. Do not build an empty redirect bot to imitate website support. The destination should provide meaningful value and match the ad.
Should I create a separate destination for each country?
Separate experiences can help when language, offer, availability or commercial conditions differ. They are unnecessary when the same prepared experience genuinely serves each audience. Check that the visitor can understand the content, obtain the service and complete any required payment or registration in their location.
Do I need a channel if I already have a website?
Not necessarily. If you need enquiries for a ready offer, send people to a suitable website. A channel is useful when you want to build an audience and keep reaching it through posts. You can use both: the website collects requests while the channel stays in touch with people who are still deciding.
Why do clicks or enquiries not turn into sales?
The issue may be after the click: the offer is unclear, the form fails or the team responds too late. Check the path from ad to sale and the quality of enquiries. If you want an outside view, contact us. We can review the ad, destination and lead handling, then suggest what to fix first.
